St Vincent de Paul Society
Frederick Ozanam was the founder of the Society in France in 1833. It was named after Vincent de Paul, a priest, who spent much of his time visiting the sick, the poor and homeless in France between 1600 and 1660. He has been canonised (made a Saint) because of his good work.
The St. Mary Magdalen Conference made up of both men and women meet fortnightly on a Monday at 8.00pm in the Parish House. This Conference visits those people who are housebound, live in residential houses and are resident in Barnes Hospital. Members of the Conference offer practical as well as financial and material donations. For further information, please contact the Parish Team. New members are always very welcome.
